Publishing ethics and journal policy

Admin About the Journal Eng 22 April 2026

Journal Policy

The journal "Problems of Contemporary Science and Practice. Vernadsky University" publishes all articles free of charge and is not commercial. The only criterion for publishing a scientific article in a journal is the relevance of the issues considered in it and the compliance of the article with the journal's subject matter. The editors of the journal cannot be persuaded to publish an article that does not carry new knowledge. The journal is open to authors from all over the world, and censorship is carried out only to the extent that it ensures compliance with Russia's national media legislation. The journal is focused on providing the opportunity for the authors to publish their research, subject to their originality and undoubted novelty. In terms of its content, the journal is absolutely independent from government structures, from academic science and other persons, since it is not funded by the above mentioned groups.

Journal Ethics

The founders and publisher of the journal Tambov State Technical University", the board of editors and the editorial team support the policy aimed at observing the principles of publishing ethics accepted by the international community, reflected, in particular, in the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Code ethics of scientific publications), and recognize that monitoring compliance with the principles of publishing (editorial) ethics is one of the main components of peer review and publication.

1. Principles of professional ethics of the publisher.

The publisher is responsible for the publication of copyrighted works, which entails the need to follow the following fundamental principles and procedures:
1.1. Contribute to the fulfillment of ethical responsibilities by the editorial office, the editorial and publishing group, the board of editors, reviewers and authors in accordance with these requirements.
1.2. Provide support to the editors of the journal in addressing claims to the ethical aspects of published materials and help interact with other journals and / or publishers, if this contributes to the performance of the duties of editors.
1.3. Be ready to publish corrections, clarifications, rebuttals and apologies when necessary.
1.4. Provide the editors of the journal with the opportunity to exclude publications containing plagiarism and inaccurate data.
1.5. The publishing house (editor) has the right to reject the manuscript or require the author to improve it if it is framed in violation of the Rules adopted in this journal and agreed with the publishing house.
1.6. The authors have the right to papers published in the journal. No one can use them without prior notice and permission from the author.
1.7. Each manuscript received for publication/review is treated as a confidential document. It is not shown or discussed with anyone except those authorized by the editor.

2.1. The authors of the article must provide reliable results of the research. Knowingly erroneous or falsified statements are unacceptable.
